Does it cost anything to join the PվƵ Professional Societies Affiliate Program?
Awin requests a one-time €1 deposit to verify your bank details and help reduce the risk of unethical activity. The amount is refunded to your publisher account once you generate your first sale. Registration is therefore free of charge.

What happens after I sign up?
After you register, you will receive a welcome email from Awin with general getting-started information and details on how to access the Awin Affiliate Center. There you can review your orders, sales, and traffic, explore available integration options, and find support. For more details and guidance, please refer to the Program Manual.

Can I place the promotional materials anywhere on my website?
Yes. Once you are a member of our affiliate program, you can place our banners and text links across your website and networks to promote PվƵ content. Strong placement is key to improving click-through rates and driving sales—which can increase your commission. Please use only the text links, logos, and creative materials provided to you via CJ. More information and guidance can be found in the Program Manual. Here you’ll find a few tips on how to promote your content effectively.
How do I measure success?
In your affiliate account under “Reports”, you can analyze traffic, view detailed statistics, build reports, review payouts, and more. You can find additional information in the Program Manual.
How is the commission calculated?
Place your affiliate link on your website, blog, social media channels, or in email communications. When a visitor follows your affiliate link to our site, the system records the click and places a cookie on the visitor’s device. If the visitor completes a purchase, the affiliate system attributes the sale and credits your account with the agreed commission automatically. Commission is calculated based on net revenues actually received and retained by PվƵ (i.e., excluding unpaid purchases and refunds/returns).
When and by whom will I be paid?
Awin pays out on the 1st and 15th of each month. If you have selected monthly payouts, the transfer is made on the 15th for all commission earned up to the 30th of the previous month.
What should we consider regarding German fixed book price regulations (Buchpreisbindung)?
Under Germany’s fixed book price law, it is not permitted to grant end customers economic advantages when concluding a contract (e.g., bonus schemes or cashback/rebate systems). Affiliates are not permitted to pass on commission in whole or in part to third parties, or to commit to doing so.
In addition, affiliates are not permitted to purchase books themselves using an affiliate placement; in this case, there is no entitlement to commission.
Why might my application be declined?
To ensure the program remains relevant to professional societies and eligible non-profit partners, we may decline applications that cannot be verified or do not meet our participation terms. To help us review your application, please make sure you provide the required information during sign-up with our partner Awin:
Website: Enter your organization’s website or blog. If you do not operate a dedicated society website, you may enter your umbrella organization’s site (e.g., your institution or association website).
Website description: Provide a clear description of your organization in your own words.
If you did not add this information initially, you can update it in your Awin account. Log in and go to Account > Network Profile. In the top-right area, switch to Edit mode and complete your details. You can find more information and a detailed description in our Program Manual.
